There is Enough
Philippians 4:15-19 reminds us, "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus." Sunday we finished up our series on how to 'Make it Count', meaning our lives. It is about giving of ourselves fully to God, in every area of our life and being thankful for all that God has done for us and in us.
Too often in life we live with the scarcity mindset instead of a generous one. We think we can never have enough but God reminds us that He will never let us go in need when we put our faith, trust, life and finances in His hands.
If we want to break free from this scarcity mindset it takes for us to consider why generosity is so important. Proverbs 11:24 tells us, "The word of the generous gets larger and larger; the world of the stingy gets smaller and smaller." So remember that 1. Generosity truly sets us free. 2. Generosity connects me to Kingdom purposes. 3. Generosity changes how I see my life. And 4. Generosity connects my heart to the next generation.
If we want to break the scarcity mindset in our families it starts by being generous, we give our way out of our stinginess and ungratefulness. And fills our heart with gratitude and thankfulness for all that God has done.
My prayer as we think about our own lives, families and finances is that we will be grateful for what God has done and how generous He has been and to show gratitude for His generosity in everything we do.
Looking forward to kicking-off Advent on Sunday and hope to see you at 9 or 10:45 am.
