Be Perfect as God is Perfect
Sunday Pastor Jon Stoe shared that what our world needs today is Jesus. And Jesus can be seen in us when we grow up and become mature. That as we love, care, give, serve and are obedient to Christ we live out the perfection that Jesus mentions in Matthew 5:48.
Ephesians 4:11-14, also gives us a blue print of what maturity, of Christlikeness is, Verse 14, tells us, "Then we will no longer be infants tossed back and forth by the wave, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning craftiness of people and their deceitful scheming. Instead speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of Christ, of Him, Jesus, who is the head that is Christ."
Remember that we are called to pursue maturity, put childish ways behind us, meaning even if we disagree with a fellow believer we refuse to bite and provoke each other. And we do all of this to win the respect of outsiders, of those who are watching us live our lives and as the church itself.
Looking forward as we move back to Ruth chapter 4 this Sunday and don't forget we begin two services on Sunday. 9:00 am and 10:45 am.
Enjoy the day and see you Sunday!
