Are they a Keeper?
As Ruth and Boaz are introduced to each other they begin to signs that maybe the person they are talking with might be a keeper, meaning someone they could marry. And let me just say that the didn't go by looks alone. They were looking at the persons character first.
In my dating life before I met Anita I was looking and looking for my keeper, especially when I was in college. I was wanting to find the right person who understand the life that they would be marrying into. I made it very clear that my future was with following God's plan in ministry. That did limit many of the girls that I was considering, that was not the plan they wanted for their life.
From Sunday here are 4 signs that you might have a keeper: Look at their character is strong, do they live a moral and ethical life in Christ. Explore connection are they things that you have in common especially when it comes their relationship with the Lord. Make sure they are considerate, that they care more about others and the welfare of others over just themselves. And ask others about them to get confirmation that your friends and parents approve. Remember it is always a good sign when those who love you the most like who you like.
As we continue on Sunday we will see how the relationship develops further and what God has instore for the both of them.
Looking forward to seeing all of you Sunday.
