Tim Asbill Jr.

Lead Pastor

Pastor Tim and his wife Anita come to Mitchell from Minnesota. They have been in full-time ministry for over 25 years. Pastor Tim grew up in Southeastern Kansas and is a graduate of MidAmerica Nazarene University. He has served as Lead pastor in 3 churches in Iow a and Minnesota. He also has served as a youth pastor in Iowa and Michigan. He is a servant leader and a man of God, Pastor Tim loves BBQ, watch football, especially  the Kansas City Chiefs, golfing, and drinking Dr. Pepper-just ask him! 

Jason Zehr

Worship Pastor

Pastor Jason and his wife Amy come to us from right here in Mitchell, where they have lived for over the past 20 years. Jason received his Bachelor of Music Education degree (with vocal instrument emphasis) from Houghton College in 1996, graduated Cum Laude.  Jason has served as a worship lead in Mitchell and the surrounding areas for the last 20 years.  He continues to give private guitar and voice lessons and is an adjunct professor for Dakota Wesleyan University since 2012. He enjoys comedy movies and Lego's and spending time with their dog Jiggs. 

Ashley Joramo 

Children's Minister 
Ashley Joramo grew up in Mitchell, SD. She has served as a Sunday School teacher for the past 6 years in churches in Sioux Falls, and Idaho. She has worked with kids in numerous other arenas including but not limited to: teaching riding lessons and horsemanship, providing childcare for multiple Bible studies and a MOPs group, teaching piano lessons, and being a counselor at several summer bible camps. She is a proud homeschool graduate, and she loves her family's farm and working with their cattle. She likes picking wildflowers, beautiful sunrises and sunsets, and a good strong cup of coffee. She loves Jesus with all her heart, and loves sharing His love with those around her- especially kids.

Jonathan Lara

Hispanic Church Planter/Pastor 

Jonathan is originally from Puerto Rico and moved to the United States in February of 2008.    He felt God's calling 5 years ago to full-time service in pastoral ministry.  He helped in the Church at Huron, leading worship and whatever else was needed.  In May of 2013 he moved to Aberdeen where he and Cassie were married.  They were both called to move to Mitchell to start an Hispanic church, Iglesia del Nazareno La Cosecha, which means 'Church of the Nazarene Of the Harvest.'   Their hobbies include travelling, reading, canoeing, and playing board games.
 

Paula Brandner

Office Administrator

Paula is originally from Wagner, SD, but has lived in Mitchell for over 25 years.  Her family includes her husband Rick, son Evan,  and daughter Madeline.  Since moving to Mitchell, Paula has owned her own cleaning business and worked as a secretary at a New York Life agency and Mitchell ChristianSchool.  Her hobbies include quilting, gardening, reading, vacationing with her family, spending time with friends, and Bible Studies.
