Defining the Relationship
DTR as our culture now calls it. In the story of Ruth we see the moment come as Naomi pushes Ruth to have Boaz define the relationship. Will he be willing to be the families guardian-redeemer, marry Ruth and reclaim the land and name for Naomi's future?
In chapter 3 verse 10-12 tells us, "The LORD bless you, my daughter,” he replied. “This kindness is greater than that which you showed earlier: You have not run after the younger men, whether rich or poor. And now, my daughter, don’t be afraid. I will do for you all you ask. All the people of my town know that you are a woman of noble character."
Yes, he was willing and we will see the story unfold further. Remember the 5 Big Lessons from Sunday: 1. It is wise to put yourself in the right place to increase the odds of meeting he right person. 2. Don't overlook those who are right in front of you. 3. Sometimes you may have to go after what you want. 4. When sometimes we do not necessarily make wise decisions, God can still use it and make it right. And 5. If you want a marriage that honors God in the future, live a life that honors God today.
Ask yourself if God want you to go after something. Is He calling you to take a step of faith and go after it?
Have a great rest of the day and coming weekend and praying for you!
